Former Ghana youth star Clifford Aboagye wants to extend his deal at Mexican side Atlas FC.

The nimble-footed midfielder joined the Liga MX side on loan from Spanish outfit Granada in the January transfer window, racking up nine appearances and providing one goal and two assists before a knee injury truncated his bright start for the side.

GHANAsoccernet reported on last week that, Atlas FC owner Grupo Salinas is be ready to meet Granada's $2 million buy-out clause to sign the talented former U-20 Bronze Ball winner.

And despite his future being up in the air, the 22-year-old has reiterated his desire to stay with the Foxes.

“There is still nothing, but there is a lot of time left and I will work hard to wait for what comes. Of course I’d like to stay here in Atlas. I feel great in a preparation that is step by step. I really feel great. We are preparing the next tournament and I think everyone’s dream is to win a championship, “Aboagye told  Rojinegros.

“I think I came with many expectations and I am very happy, satisfied with the Mexican League as it is very competitive. Here are many talented players and thanks to that I have grown here."
