Former Ghanaian Premier League champions Aduana Stars are close to reaching a deal with West African Football Academy to sign midfielder Zakaria Mumuni, according to reports in the local media.

The G-6 silver-winning team, who finished within the top four spots in the Ghana Premier League season, have acquired the prodigious 18-year-old midfielder to bolster their ranks.

Mumuni had been on the radar of local clubs including league winners AshantiGold and Medeama SC but Aduana have managed to snap him up in a five-figure deal.

Aduana Stars head coach Nurudeen Ahmed gave the green light for his management to open talks with WAFA over the talented youngster and must now work around to fit him into his midfield for the upcoming season.
