Former Asante Kotoko coach Abdul Karim 'Golden Boy' Razak has agreed to take charge of Qatari second-tier side Al Marthiya.
The ex-international has been identified as the man to guide then to the Qatari top-flight after several unsuccessful attempts.
“After the two-week training tour, we will return to Qatar, where I will append my signature to the contract which will determine the duration of my stay and my future with the club, Razak,†the former RTU coach told Graphic.
“They know my credentials as an outstanding coach. This is because seven years ago, I was with them and they saw what I did but we could not agree with the terms of my contract so I left and since then they have struggled to join the Qatar first division.â€
Razak has experience coaching abroad after glittering spells with Stade Malian of Mali where he led them to four successive league titles, three Super Cups and two FA Cups.
The 1978 Africa Cup of Nations winner also coached ASFA Yennega in Burkina Faso (1994), Dragons of Benin (1998) and Etoile Filante of Togo.
