English-born Ghanaian attacker David Amoo came off the bench to score a consolation goal to break Partick Thistle's goal drought in the Scottish top-flight.

The Jags had travelled 528 minutes without scoring a goal in all Premiership games but the former Liverpool starlet climbed off the bench in the 76th minute to score two minutes later.

The host had scored twice to cool off the pressure from Thistle who were searching for their first win in 13 games in all competitions.

But Amoo headed home a cross from his Ghanaian compatriot Abdul Osman to end their goal drought.

Amoo joined Thistle as a free agent after leaving English League Two side Carlisle United.

He spent seasons developing at Liverpool's academy and appeared twice in the Reds first team games, playing in their Europa League triumph over Macedonian side Rabotni?ki and win over Northampton in the English League Cup all in 2010.

He went on to had loan spells at MK Dons, Hull City, Bury, Preston North End among other clubs.
