Former Sunderland ace Asamoah Gyan set to operate airline business in Ghana

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan is set to demonstrate his immense business acumen yet again by venturing into the airline industry with the imminent launch of the 'Baby Jet Airlines'.

This was revealed by Ghana's President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the 2017 African Airshow at the Kotoka International Airport on Wednesday morning.

It would be the tenth major business venture for the astute footballer cum businessman after investing in food, real estate, transport, mining, hospitality, music, boxing and football as he seeks to create more jobs.

The airline, Baby Jet Airlines, is expected to start full operations in the coming months.

“I’ve been reliable informed that the captain of our senior national football team, the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan - Baby Jet, has obtained an air carrier license and is working feverishly to establish an airline, obviously called Baby Jet airlines.

"I want to call on other Ghanaians both home and abroad to invest in the rapidly growing aviation sector.” said President Akufo Addo

The airline company will commence operations with cargo handling, before expanding subsequently to airlift travelers.
