FOUL PLAY: Kwame Boahene's family suggests Asante Kotoko star STRANGE illness spiritual
Kwame Boahene

Family of Asante Kotoko's Kwame Boahene suspect foul play against their ward after failing to find cure for the midfielder's un-ending injury plight.

Boahen has not featured for the Porcupine Warriors since their 1-1 stalemate against WAFA at the Sogakope Park on Match Day of the Ghana Premier League.

Three weeks after the 24-year-old's injury, report went rife in the Garden City that he's suffered a mild stroke - but the club vehemently rubbished the report and claimed the player was close to recovery.

However, after week 11 of the campaign, the former Medeama SC playmaker is still sidelined - to the dismay of their teeming supporters.

During an interview with Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM, Boahen's uncle, Robert Eshun expressed his worry about the situation Boahen finds himself and pleaded to whoever is responsible to release his nephew from the injury shackles.

"As a family, we suspect there is more into Kwame Boahene's injury, even doctors have failed to identify what’s wrong with him, it could be spiritual and so we are pleading that if anyone has a hand in it, the fellow should please leave him alone."

"We are not folding our arms; we are looking into it because we can't phantom what's happening to him. The player is in pains whenever he kicks a ball and the worrying aspect is that Kotoko officials suspect he doesn't want to play but that's not the case."

"He doesn't feel his legs. I am asking all and sundry to help me plead with whomever to please allow my boy.”
