Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris sensationally inspired his Lorient side to a big 3-2 away by scoring in the victory over Monaco in the French top-flight.

This marks the first time Lorient have won an away game in the French championship after losing their opening two matches and drawing one.

The Black Stars striker geared off the team to a magnificent win over Angers last Saturday, scoring one of the three goals on his injury comeback.

The former Right to Dream Academy striker displayed a 'Man of the match' performance in their away game at Monaco to see Lorient picking their first major points away.

Majeed Waris has since fetched six points for Lorient after making his injury return and his Lorient team mates now see him as an inspirer.

Majeed Waris joined Lorient a few months ago in a four year deal which will see him at the club until 2019.
