Great Olympics captain Francis Mantey is in a ‘stable condition’ after collapsing during their Premier League defeat against Kotoko.

Mantey fell to the ground in the second half and was rushed to an unnamed hospital.

The club’s assistant coach Kassim Mingle has revealed the player is fine and responding to treatment.

“Francis is fine. It was a scary moment but we thank God he’s doing well,” he said

“We want to thank the medical staff for their swift response to the situation.”

Olympics lost 3-2 against the champions, which leaves them in the relegation zone.

They next travel to Wa to battle All Stars.
