Video: Acheampong Messi grabs a brace in Thai top-flight

Published on: 03 June 2012

Ghanaian striker Frank Acheampong scored twice for Buriram United who defeated Chainat 3-0 in the Thai Premier League on Saturday at the New I-Mobile Stadium.

The former Berekum Chelsea talented midfielder in the 30th and 82nd minute marks as his club cruised to an emphatic triumph with ten men.

Acheampong, a former Ghana Under-20 winger, raced into the box to connect home a low cross from a team-mate to double Buriram's advantage.

Chainat warmed themselves into the game and tried to at least pull a goal back but Acheampong dashed their remaining hopes with eight minutes left to go.

The 19-year-old then latched onto a long range pass from a team-mate to round up the goalkeeper before slotting into the empty net.

Buriram occupy third position with 21 points from nine games.

From everyones response he seems to be a really good player the thai is good league to develop in just because of fast pace and pyshical side of his game but he should spend another season ,see wot he can achieve (trophies,P.O.T.Y or top scorer then go to europe (holland, belgium, norway, demark or spain ) then he will be a gr8 player and prospect god bless wish him all the best
