Frank Acheampong says he is very effective playing in an offensive midfield role than when deployed as a defender or on the wings.
The Ghana international scored a brace in Anderlecht’s 2-2 draw at KV Mechelen on Friday in the Belgian Pro League.
Those were his opening goals in 15 appearances.
"I prefer playing in the midfield, so I hope I can keep that position for the rest of the season. We only need more time to get used to each other but I am confident for the next weeks," Acheampong said.
"It's the first time I score twice for Anderlecht. I proved that I am a cold-blooded killer."
Acheampong has been at the club since 2013 when he joined from Thai side Buriram United.
