Frank Nelson affirms Hearts of Oak premier league title winning ambition

Board Member of Hearts of Oak Frank Nwokolo Nelson has affirmed the club’s ambition of annexing this season’s Ghana Premier League title.

The Phobians currently sit 7th, five points behind league leaders Aduana Stars and two points off third-placed WAFA after just three wins from their opening 8 matches Premier.

Despite their relatively slow start to the league, Frank Nelson says the premier league crown is within their reach, and will start by dispatching Berekum Chelsea in week 9 on Sunday.

“For us being in this position does not mean we want to remain there, all we want is to better it and to look at the ultimate, which is to win the league and we know we have sixteen teams but before the season started that’s the objective we set out to achieve,” he told Asempa FM.

“I’m sure Nuttall must have heard very well about the club before joining and he knows the last time we won the league, and he is aware of the things he has do to bring us the trophy. Having said that, it will not be an easy for him to achieve this dream.”

“He is just getting to know the players, the technical department and unfortunate for him most of the technical bench are new; assistant coach and goalkeeper’s trainer are all new, therefore it will take a lot of time before winning the title, but trust me our season starts from Sunday against Chelsea, so they should be wary of the threat we’re coming with.”
