Fred Pappoe has been confirmed as the management committee chairman of Ghana's home-based national team.

Reports were rife of Pappoe's unpreparedness to serve on any other committee except the Black Stars, which has now been taken over by Ghana FA boss, Kwasi Nyantakyi.

His name was thus omitted from the original list of appointees released last month which had Randy Abbey doubling as the CHAN team's chairman as well as the media committee.

Pappoe then revealed informing the top hierarchy of the association of his mounting work schedule as a reason for his inability to serve effectively on any of the committees, therefore his omission.

However reports later erupted of either Pappoe courting for the position or being talked into it to perhaps ease the perceived pain he felt when he was voted against to serve as the vice president of the association for a second term.

Whichever way it was, it has now emerged that the ex Black Stars management chief has been drafted in to head Ghana's team B post, replacing Randy Abbey in the process.

It now remains to be seen whether the mounting work load as Pappoe earlier sighted will be a hindrance in him effectively discharging his duties to the fullest.
