Relegated French Ligue side Sochaux are threatening to report Swiss side FC Sion to the world's football governing body - FIFA over a breached clause in their loan agreement for the Ghanaian winger Ishmael Yartey.

The Montbelliard-based side are furious over Sion's decision not to honour an agreement between the two parties and are waiting up to next week to appeal to FIFA to sanction the Swiss club.

According to Sochaux, who have issued an official release, in their loan agreement with Sion for Yartey, they are supposed to receive up to 1 million Euros from Sion should the Ghanaian winger help them to maintain their top-flight status last season.

The ex-Ghana U17 star, 24, played 22 league games for Sion this ended season scoring twice and helped them to finish 8th on the Super League table but Sion are blatantly refusing to honour the agreement.

Yartey has returned to Switzerland and began training with Sion ahead of the commencement of new Swiss season in mid August but the new twist and turns means he will have to put things on hold.

The former Benfica winger is yet to put pen to paper to make his move from Sochaux to Sion permanent and the latest saga between the two clubs could draw things back for the player.

Sochaux secured the winger for 5 million Euros from Portuguese side SL Benfica two seasons ago and farmed him out to Sion last season.

Sochaux, who are relegated from the French top-flight want to earn their money for the signing of the winger and will drag Sion and the matter to its elastic limits.
