AshantiGold suffered a 2-1 defeat to Liberty Professionals at the Len Clay stadium on Sunday in a friendly encounter.
Both coaches handed starting roles to some of the their new additions.
Richard Osei Agyemang on loan from Asante Kotoko SC started for AshGold SC whilst former Hearts of Oak midfielder Richard Yamoah was given a starting role at Liberty Professionals.
Appiah McCarthy slotted home a nice cross from Amos Addai to level the scoring for the home side.
With a few minutes to end proceedings, Brite Andoh won the game for the Scientific Soccer Lads with a spot kick.
The visitors went ahead after 30 minutes through Tamimu Muntari who put the ball past goalkeeper Robert Dabuo when he connected a lovely pass from Alex Ofosu Acheampong.
