Frimpong fails to make Fulham debut

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong did not make his much-awaited debut for Fulham as he watched from the bench in their 3-1 win over West Ham United on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old, on loan from Arsenal, was hoping to make his bow for the Cottagers as they played host to Hammers at the Craven Cottage.

But Martin Jol did not hand him a debut as he watched the entire duration of the game from the substitute bench.

West Ham defender Joel O'Brien scored a stoppage-time own goal to add a goal in each half from Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov and Hugo Rodallega helped Fulham to their first win in three games.

He is likely to make his debut when Fulham host Manchester United on Saturday.
