Former Ghanaian international, Joetex Frimpong, has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Black Stars at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

Frimpong was a member of Ghana’s squad at the 2006 Afcon when he played for two-time African champions, Enyimba.

“The Black Stars have done well and Asamoah Gyan has perfectly played the role of team captain. In addition, he remains a model to youngsters in the team,” Frimpong, who is based in Switzerland told Supersport

“It’s an advantage that Ghana has the best attack in the Afcon with eight goals after four matches."

Frimpong expressed confidence that Kwesi Appiah can propel the Black Stars to greater heights.

Ghana continue their Afcon campaign with a semifinal clash against West African foes, Burkina-Faso, on Wednesday.
