Fuming fans demand refund from Man Utd legend Cantona

Fans are demanding refunds from a show put on by Manchester United legend Eric Cantona.

The Daily Mail says Cantona fans are calling for refunds on his £60-a-head theatre tour after his 'An Evening With' show was labelled 'a farce' on its opening night.

Cantona is in Manchester at the Lowry theatre on Thursday night and in London on Friday, having opened a string of dates in Bournemouth.

But the Manchester United legend's show, organised by A1 Sporting Speakers, was booed by the audience on its opening night and has been the subject of angry complaints.

The event advertised an 8pm start time, but Cantona did not appear until an hour later after an interval preceded by a crude comedy act and a cash-spinning memorabilia auction which raked in a further £5,450 from punters in Bournemouth.

The eventual 45-minute stage interview with Cantona was criticised for posing 'banal, closed questions'. Fans were also told not to take photos or videos of the former France striker.
