Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has lashed at recent reports suggesting he has cheated on his age by 10 years.

Reports from a purported satirical blogging site which was widely carried by other outlets claimed father of the Black Stars captain, Gyan Baffour had revealed his son was 10-years older than his official age of 30.

The Shanghai SIPG ace recently marked his 30th birthday by throwing a lavish party at his reported $3m mansion in Accra.

Yet still, reports emanated that his father had given him away by saying his son turned 30 ten years ago.

Asamoah Gyan has now issues a furious response to this report even though his father has come out to completely debunk it.

“Tell them I’m 100 years, I Asamoah Gyan say my real age is 100 years and they must write this on their websites and let the whole world know that I am 100 years old,” Asamoah Gyan said in an interview with Kumasi-based Angel FM.

“This is unprofessional, whoever was involved in that malicious story is an unprofessional.

“Any new website that comes out tries to use me or other people stars to make their name and that is unfair.”
