Exasperated Bashiru Hayford has announced he will quit coaching at the end of the season after claiming his side AshantiGold were robbed in Sunday’s Super Cup.

The Miners had a goal disallowed for offside but television replay showed scorer Frederick Quayson was played on by Samuel Adade.

AshGold then complained the goal they conceded at the death through Bernard Ofori was offside but replay showed Hudu Yakubu was on the line with the latter.

Hayford, who led AshantiGold to the title last season, such decisions by referees fast-track his decision to quit.

“It is very disheartening to see a perfect goal disallowed by a referee while the opponent was awarded with the same goal,” Hayford told Hot FM.

“For me, the kind of things going on in the country regarding officiating, God willing at the end of the season I will call it a quit.”

It will be recalled AshantiGold boycotted the medal presentation at the Accra Sports Stadium.
