Top officials of Ebusua Dwarfs including bankroller Nana Aidoo are planning to quit over the decision of Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur to make a huge cash injection into rival club Hearts of Oak.
The Vice President has made $100,000 available to top officials of the Phobians for the signing of big name players ahead of the start of the 2015/16 season.
Amissah-Arthur made this financial contribution in his capacity as one of the highest shareholders of Hearts of Oak.
The $100,000 payment which is yet to be effected comes on the heels of a declaration by board chairman Togbe Afede XIV that there was no money available for the club to launch an assault on the transfer market for some of the big names.
This move by the Vice President has however infuriated officials of Ebusua Dwarfs as they feel this enormous contribution should rather be directed to their club.
Amissah-Arthur was born and bred in Cape Coast but his contribution to the town’s main team is deemed minimal.
“He [Amissah-Arthur] doesn’t make any meaningful contribution to Dwarfs yet still he is from this area,” a source told GHANAsoccernet.com.
“What I remember him contributing is donating second hand jerseys to the club and that’s all.
“And now we hear he is giving Hearts of Oak $100,000? What does that make of the efforts being made by individuals like Nana Aidoo in sustaining the team?
“They will all quit for the club to collapse. How can you neglect your home team and make huge contributions to our rivals?”
Dwarfs have secured a return to the Ghanaian top flight within a season of going down.
They are however struggling with resources as they bid to make quality acquisitions for their return to the Ghanaian top flight.

His contribution comes in the wake of Hearts’ inactivity in the transfer market as the new season draws closer.
