Turkish side Galatasaray have intensified their bid to sign Ghana striker Matthew Amoah, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The giants have been  secretly negotiating for the NAC Breda attacker to join them after attempts to grab Didier Drogba failed.

The Ghana international has been one of the top strikers in the Dutch top-flight over the past six seasons.

Turkish newspapers have reported extensively on the chase by Galatasaray but the extent of progress in the talks is not known.

Galatasaray want to add the 31-year-old to their stock new signing and improve last season’s 8th placed finish in the SuperLig.

Amoah has scored 42 goals in more than 100 matches for and has netted 13 times for the Black Stars in 40 appearances.

He has previously played for Borussia Dortmund, Fortuna Sittard and Vitesse Arnhem.
