Garcia: I’m ready to fight for Roma future

Roma coach Rudi Garcia has insisted he is ready to fight for his future ahead of Sunday’s game against Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The 51-year-old Frenchman has been the subject of speculation regarding his future at the Giallorossi, with the visit of the Rossoblu depicted as a must-win match.

“I have more fight in me than people believe so I don’t care about this issue,” Garcia told reporters during his pre-match press conference.

“I know the way football works but I’m motivated, peaceful and combative. I’m ready to fight. In the Coppa Italia we failed and this is the blackest point of our season so far. However, Sunday gives us the opportunity to put everything into getting a win.

“I’m the leader of the group and when the results don’t come, then I have to take responsibility.

“There will be time to change things in January if we need to but I’m convinced we will find the right solution.”
