Berekum Chelsea reportedly up for sale

Berekum Chelsea General Manager Francis Oduro Sarfo says he is unaware of plans to put the club up for sale.

Reports are rife in the local media that club owner Emmanuel Kyeremeh wants to sell the club.

Kyeremeh has been away for over a year now – entrusting its running into the hands of Chief Executive Officer Nana Kwame Nketia and General Manager Oduro Sarfo who says news of the club’s imminent sale has come as a surprise to him.

“He [Kyeremeh] has not informed me he is selling the club so I don’t know what to say in response to these reports,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“We are here preparing the team ahead of the start of the Premier League and that is where our focus lies.”

Kyeremeh is in Canada for medical care according to the Ghana FA.

He has been unable to make a return to Ghana over a year now even after the death of his father who will be buried on Saturday.
