Genoa poised to land AC Milan outcast

Genoa are on the brink of completing a loan move for AC Milan midfielder Suso with an option to purchase him outright.

The 22 year-old has only made half a dozen appearances for the Rossoneri, where his performances have varied greatly.

Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic confirmed during his press conference the Spaniard would now be playing for the Grifone.

Speaking ahead of their Serie A fixture against Frosinone the Serbian confessed Suso had “already gone to Genoa.”

Suso isn’t in the squad to face Frosinone, with the former Liverpool man preparing to spend six months in Genoa.

The Grifone have the option to extend the loan for another season, or one step further and purchase the player.

Suso endured the ire of the fans after receiving a straight red card against Sassuolo in the previous campaign.

Genoa had hopes of securing the services of Juan Manuel Iturbe from Roma, but he is set to join Watford.
