The Black Stars management committee chief George Afriyie has assured Ghanaians that Avram Grant will see some matches of this year’s Ghana Premier League.

Grant has been in the United Kingdom since last year with his continual absence from the shores of this country a concern to Ghanaian.

The former Chelsea boss is in the second of a two year contract with the Ghana Football Association but led the Black Stars to finish second in Equatorial Guinea, just three weeks after taking up the job in 2015.

With growing calls for Avram Grant to return to Ghana and monitor the league the vice President of the Ghana Football Association says Ghanaian should remain calm and that the coach will be here as soon as possible.

“We have asked that he come home but to be fair to him it’s not right we discuss these issues on air,” Afriyie told Accra based Happy FM

“He will be here and he will watch some of the matches that I guarantee.”

Ghana is set to take on Mozambique in a couple of weeks and it is expected that Mr Grant will give little attention to players who ply their trade in the Ghana Premier League as he is yet to see a single game.
