Powerful Ghanaian defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh is line for his debut Black Stars call-up ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.Â
The 23-year-old who recently signed for German second-tier side Eintracht Braunschweig is likely to be included in the squad expected to be announced by coach Avram Grant this week.
The heavily build right back completed his season with great personal success having played 32 matches for  relegated German side Aalen.
Ofosu-Ayeh is believed to have caught the attention of the Israeli gaffer and will be handed his debut call-up into the team ahead of the game against the Islanders on June 14 in Accra.
The highly-rated defender has not hidden his desire to represent the country of his father after pledging on several occasions to play for the Black Stars.
He was born in Moers to a German mother and a Ghanaian father,was given a call-up to the preliminary Ghana U-20 squad for the 2011 African Youth Championship, but his club at the time, SV Wilhelmshaven, refused to give him permission to play at the tournament.
