Elvis Manu is on the radar of Bayer Leverkusen

German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen are expected to slap in a bid to sign Ghana-target Elvis Manu who has set his sights on a move to the English Premier League.

Premier League side Watford and Championship outfit Brighton are competing for the signature of the 21-year-old and have both had offers of €2m (£1.5m) accepted by the Dutch club.

But Leverkusen monitored the performance of the Netherlands-born last season and are seeking to price him away from the English pair though they are said to be closer to winning the battle to sign him.

Meanwhile Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon are also interested in signing Manu who scored four goals in European competitions for Feyenoord last season.

If the move to an English top flight side is realized, Manu will be the sixth Ghanaian to play in the Premiership this season – joining the likes of Andre and Jorday Ayew, Christian Atsu, Jeffery Schlupp and Baba Abdul Rahman.
