Kendall Waston took a trip home to his native Costa Rica with Whitecaps FC teammate Gershon Koffie.

Ghanaian midfielder Gershon Koffie has returned to the Vancouver Whitecaps squad revitalized after a mini-break to face New York Red Bulls in the Major League Soccer on Saturday night.

The 23-year-old and his teammates had a five-day break and decided to join his teammate Kendall Waston to his native Costa Rica.

Whitecaps last played on 06 June after stunning defending MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy with a 1-0 with the former Inter Allies player playing full throttle.

Koffie has played 11 matches and scored one goal this season.
