Vancouver Whitecaps Ghanaian midfielder Gershon Koffie is suspended for Saturday’s game against the Revolution as a result of yellow card accumulation.

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has charged the Ghanaian for misconduct after reckless a challenge on Seattle Sounders’ Andy Rose during a league match last Saturday.

The 23-year-old also earned a fine for giving Jeff Parke the middle finger during the ill-tempered clash.

Koffie's next opportunity to play will be against Colorado on July 4. Fellow midfielders Kianz Froese and Deybi Flores could both potentially enter the starting XI during Koffie's absence.
