The Ghana Football Association is set to open nominations for election to the National Executive Committee of the Association.
Nomination forms will be made available to individuals who are willing to contest as representatives of Premier, Division One, RFA’s and the constituent bodies from Friday August 28 at the GFA Secretariat or the various RFA Secretariats.
Closing of Nominations for election to National Executive Committee (Representatives from Premier, Division One, RFAs & Constituent Bodies) has been set for Wednesday September 2.
Interested individuals are expected to pay an amount of GH¢100.00 as nomination fees and an amount of GH¢1500.00 as filing fees when they return the forms. The Elections Committee will then submit a report on the nominations on Wednesday September 9 with filing of appeal against the decision of the Elections Committee set for Monday September 14.
The GFA General Secretary will then serve notice of ordinary congress on Tuesday September 22.
The Appeals Committee is also expected to announce its decision on electoral matters by Thursday September 24.
There will then the election of the representative of the constituent bodies (SESSA, Schools & Colleges, Tertiary Institutions, Coaches, Referees, Women Football Elections Committee Juvenile Football and Players) on Monday September 28.
This will be followed by elections for Premier and Division One representatives to the National Executive Committee on Tuesday September 29.
The elections of the Chairmen of the various Regional Football Associations will be as follows:
1. Election of RFA Chairman - Northern Region - 2nd October, 2015
2. Election of RFA Chairman - Upper East Region - 2nd October, 2015
3. Election of RFA Chairman - Upper West Region - 2nd October, 2015
4. Election of RFA Chairman - Brong Ahafo Region - 6th October, 2015
5. Election of RFA Chairman - Ashanti Region - 6th October, 2015
6. Election of RFA Chairman - Eastern Region - 6th October, 2015
7. Election of RFA Chairman - Western Region - 8th October, 2015
8. Election of RFA Chairman - Central Region -8thOctober,2015
9. Election of RFA Chairman - Volta Region 12th October,2015
10. Election of RFA Chairman - Gt. Accra Region 12th October, 2015
There will then be the GFA Ordinary Congress on 14th October, 2015 where all newly elected members of the National Executive Committee will be sworn in.
