Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Kudjoe Fianoo has urged clubs in the country to seek for sponsors to support them.

Fianoo, who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold, stated  that sponsorship helps lessen the financial burden on clubs.

“Such sponsorships are rare in our league. We must value it and all clubs must endeavor to get [sponsorships] because it helps them to run the club in terms of finances” said Fianoo at the signing of Dreams FC partnership deal with sports betting company, Mybet on Thursday, at the Ange Hill Hotel in East Legon, Accra.

“The clubs should position themselves professionally, that is how they [should] run affairs because that is what will attract the sponsors to come. On the other hand, the fastest way for companies to market their stuffs and sell their products is through football because it has huge following so they must also utilise it."

The one-year, Dreams FC-Mybet.com agreement, according to the Executive Chairman of the club is in excess of GH₵200,000.
