GHALCA chairman praises Medeama for Confed Cup exploits
Medeama will play AC Leopards on Sunday in the Confederation Cup playoff.

Ghana League Clubs Association chairman Alhaji Aliu Raji has heaped praise on Medeama for continuing to carry the flag of Ghana high in Africa.

The CAF Confederation Cup campaigners are the sole representatives from Ghana after Kotoko, Berekum Chelsea and Ebusua Dwarfs failed.

Medeama are on the verge of making history but will have to go past Congolese side AC Leopards to reach the Group stage of the competition for the first time in their history.

“If you look at the history of the club you will appreciate how far they have come,” Alhaji Raji disclosed on Spice FM.

“At the beginning of the season no one would have taught they would have been the last man standing but here they are on the brink of making it to the group stage.

“And once there you get there who knows anything it possible.

“I am particularly impressed with the commitment of every member of their group towards the cause and I can only wish them the best.”

Medeama left Accra on Tuesday evening to Congo where they will play the first leg tie against AC Leopards in the first leg playoff on Sunday the 20 April.
