GHALCA chairman Alhaji Ali Raji has revealed a potential sponsorship agreement with South African broadcaster SuperSport for the Top Four competition.

The current GHALCA leadership have struggled to seal sponsorship agreements for the annual off-season tournament.

The club welfare body is currently in court battling telecommunication firm Globacom for not honouring its financial obligation in the extended Top Four competition – G8 – in 2013.

GHALCA however appear to be gearing towards a concrete long term agreement with broadcast partners for the Ghana Premier League, SuperSport for their Top Four tournament.

“SuperSport have agreed unofficially to come on board the top four,” Alhaji Raji revealed.

“Talks remain ongoing for a longer term contract so that we have a stable competition for a period of time.”
