Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has revealed he turned offers from several stellar clubs to sign for Swansea City.

The 25-year-old made the surprise switch to the ambitious English side in the summer after ending his 11-year stint with Marseille.

The Ghana international was heavily linked with move to a number of clubs including 'boyhood' club Liverpool.

Ayew has revealed he turned down several offers from several giants clubs to join the Swans, saying it was the right choice.

"Before I signed for Swansea, I had offers from big clubs," Ayew told RMC.

"It was a choice that I really thought about. I took my time, weighed up the positives and the negatives, my age, what I want to achieve in football and how I was going to get there.

"With my family, I took the decision to go to Swansea, somewhere where I had the confidence of the manager and the president at 100 per cent."

The Ghanaian has hit the ground running with six goals in 12 appearances for the Wales-based side.
