AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has included Ghana winger Christian Atsu in his squad to face German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim in their final pre-season game on Saturday.

The 23-year-old on loan Chelsea attacker has recovered from a back injury he suffered while in action against Yeovil Town on Tuesday.

Atsu is on the flight with the Bournemouth squad that is flying to German on Saturday morning.

Manager Howe is likely to play the former FC Porto starlet in the game after resting him in their 3-2 loss against Cardiff City on Friday night.

Bournemouth open their Premier League campaign with a tough home test against Aston Villa at the Vitality Stadium -  a game Atsu and Jordan Ayew are expected to play in.
