Getafe midfielder Derek Boateng has admitted that he is happy to be linked with a move to Tottenham.

The Ghana international moved to Spain last summer, just six months after he had signed for Cologne.

He has enjoyed an excellent patch of form in La Liga and he is now attracting attention from elsewhere in Europe.

The former Panathinaikos man is happy his form has drawn apparent admiring glances from elsewhere.

"I am playing at a good level at the moment, I am happy with my form and hopefully it will continue," he said.

Happy

"I am hearing about clubs such as Tottenham and Sevilla, but I am down to earth."

Boateng, who once came close to signing for Steve McClaren at Middlesbrough, admits a move to England is an attraction.

"All good players will love to play in England and players in my position on the field are stars there, I like the physical part of football, so I would love to play there one day," he said.

"Tottenham? They are a fantastic team, White Hart Lane is a great stadium, so you never know, it would be fantastic. However, I am happy here in Getafe."
