Ghana midfielder Michael Essien does not want to be drawn into speculations linking him with a move away from Panathinaikos following reported interest from Turkish clubs.

Essien has bee linked with a move away from the Greens with clubs in Turkey in particular keen on signing him.

The 33-year-old appears to have rediscovered his form after an injury ravaged career.

The former Chelsea and AC Milan joined the Greek giants in the summer last year on a two-year deal.

But reports linking him away from Greece refuse to wash away.

But the Ghana international wants to remain coy and commits his future to his current club.

"I do not read newspapers and do not know what the media say," he told Nova

"Last week one of my mate asked me if I will go to Turkey and I knew nothing about it.

There is no such case. I am here, I am in Panathinaikos, I signed for two years and I am committed to give my best for the team.

"We will see what will happen in future. "

Nicknamed 'Boison', Essien is currently nursing a minor knock.
