Ghana's home-based national team beat Togo 2-0 at the on-going West African Football Union Nations Cup at the Ijebu-Ode International Stadium on Saturday.

The local Black Stars took the lead through striker Bismark Idan after a quarter of an hour and the assurance goal scored in the second half.

About 1,000 fans watched the match at the 5,000 capacity stadium despite the gates being thrown open to soccer fans in the town.

The tournament continues on Sunday and hosts Nigeria tackle Guinea while Benin play Senegal in Group A.
