Ghana-born Freddy Adu not panicking

Aris Thessaloniki loanee Freddy Adu is not panicking that his career has not gone the way many would have expected.

The Ghanaian-born USA attacker has not reached the heights he was touted to when he was a youngster in MLS with DC United a few years ago but he is not getting as carried away as others are.

Some people are saying that it is Adu’s last chance as he is now on his third loan spell from Portuguese club Benfica.

Currently in Greece, he has also had stints in France with Monaco and with Benfica’s Portuguese Liga rivals Belenenses but failed to make an impact at either club.

Despite his failure to play consistent first team football, Adu is remaining calm about his future.

“I'm only 20," he said.

"People panic sometimes when things don't go right. I don't. I've still got a long way to go, but I'm on the right track now. I'm finally, finally on the right track."
