Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has hit a rich-scoring form ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The Al Ain front-man overcame a slow start with a scoring hot streak that has seen him score 18 goals in the Arabian Gulf League.
The 28-year-old has bagged an incredible 71 goals in 59 games for Al Ain, 5 in seven Asian Champions League including 4 in 3 games this year.
Gyan was at his lethal best for the United Arab Emirates side as he bagged a brace for his side in their 3-1 win over Iranian side Tractor Sazi in the Asian Champions League on Tuesday.
The Ghanaian à has now scored four goals in three Asian outings this term to go with his tally of 18 in 19 Arabian Gulf League appearances.
The hot-form of the former Sunderland man will excite coach Kwesi Appiah ahead of the World Cup in June.
Gyan is now a goal shy of equaling the all-time record of the Black Stars jointly held by Edward Acquah and Kwesi Owusu.
Ghana will heavily rely on the ex-Liberty Professionals ace to power the African side to success in the South America country in June this year.
