Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan became the first African to score in three World Cup finals after netting in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Germany in Fortaleza.

The Al Ain forward sneaked in behind the Germany defence and powerful shot past goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to give Ghana a 2-1 lead.

But the Africans were pegged back by a 71st minute equalizer by Miroslav Klose who poked in from close range.

Gyan has now tallied five goals after scoring one in Germany 2006 and three at the 2010 finals in South Africa.

He has equalled Roger Milla's scoring record he set at the 1994 finals in USA when he netted one goal to add to the four goals at the 1990 finals in Italy.
