Asamoah Gyan scored for Al Ain

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan scored from the penalty for spot for Al Ain but the UAE champions succumbed to a 3-2 home defeat inflicted by leaders Al Ahli on Sunday evening.

Gyan halved the deficit for Ain after brilliantly converting a penalty kick in the 78th minute but the Pro League title-holders could not sustain themselves as Brazilian Grafite netted twice to for the visitors to cruise to victory.
