Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan is wary of the disciplined Burkina Faso defence ahead of their semi-final clash of the Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday.

Gyan, who has been the Black Stars sole striker in this tournament so far, has rated the Stallions defence as one of the best in the tournament.

The Burkinabes have conceded just one goal in the four matches they have played in the tournament so far.

The Ghana captain says the Stallions will be tough in defence as they have been so far in the competition.

"They are composed and do not give space. I think the Burkina Faso defense is one of the in the competition," said Gyan.

Ghana fought hard to beat Cape Verde 2-0 in the quarter finals but Gyan says they will have to up their game to beat the Stallions.

“We did not play well against Cape Verde and I think we won because of our experience. We have to improve from that,” he said.

The Ghanaians are seeking relive their 1982 moment when they lifted their African title.
