Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan wins EMY Sportsman of the Year Award

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan named been the Sportsman of Year at the maiden edition of the Exclusive Men of the Year Awards.

The Shanghai SIPG man beat competition from Andre Ayew, Yaw Sakyi Afari (promoter of basketball in Ghana), Albert Frimpong (founder of Baseball in Ghana), boxer Richard Commey and Premier League winner Jeffrey Schlupp.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Asamoah Gyan Foundation Samuel Anim Addo picked up the award on behalf.

Anim Addo dedicated the award to all responsible journalists in the country in the midst of allegations by a radio station that Gyan was funding the New Patriotic Party to toppled the National Democratic Congress.
