Ghana captain Eric Ayiah has identified USA as their major threat in the Group stage at the FIFA U17 World Cup in India.

The Black Starlets were drawn with the hosts, the Americans and Columbia in Group A at the tournament.

Ghana will be playing in the U17 World Cup for the first time since 2007.

''Now we know the countries in our group but we don’t know anything about the teams so it’s going to be difficult,'' he told Starr FM after the draw.

''But we are going to prepare very well to face them.

''USA may be our biggest contenders because they are a football country but we will work harder to overcome them.''

Ghana will play in the tournament opener against Columbia on 6 October before playing USA and hosts India.

The 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup finals will run from 6-28 October.
