In-form Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has vowed to bang in the goals for the Black Stars when they take on Egypt in Tuesday's crucial 2014 World Cup qualifying play-off clash.

The UAE-based attacker has been in blistering form since arriving in the country for the match to be played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi to decide which country qualifies for the World Cup.

Gyan has shown some sharpness in his pace and attacking ability during training and it is hoped he can replicate that form in the match.

The Black Stars must beat the North African giants in a two-legged encounter to seal a third straight appearance at the FIFA World Cup.

But the statistics favour the six-time AFCON title winners as they have beaten Ghana five times more than the number of times Ghana has beaten them.

However, Ghana is fired up for victory against the Egyptian and skipper Asamoah Gyan who also doubles as the leading scorer in the current Ghana squad has promised to score chances that would come his way at the Baba Yara Stadium on Tuesday.

“But as a striker I am expected to score and when the chances come my way I will put them in the net,” he during the Ghana national team's meeting with the Asantehene.

Ghana have managed just five wins against Egypt in all encounters while the Egypt have won ten times with the rest of the 21 encounters ending in draws.
