Latif Salifu to sign for Kotoko

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko are set to seal the signing of former Ghana U20 winger Latif Salifu as the player has already passed medicals in Kumasi, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 24-year-old free agent has been spotted in Kumasi with Kotoko officials ahead of his move from Berekum Chelsea.

Latif, who had his season hampered by injuries last season, is primed to join the Porcupine Warriors after finishing his contract with Chelsea.

Kotoko head coach Didi Dramani has consent to the signing of the former Liberty Professionals man and he is expected to play an influential role in their domestic and continental campaign for the upcoming season.

Latif was a member of the Ghana U20 side that became the first African side to win the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2009 in Egypt.
