Ghana coach Akwasi Appiah has returned from his tour of Europe to monitor his players ahead of the World Cup.

The Black Stars trainer will however be heading out against to South Africa to monitor players at the CHAN tournament.

Coach Appiah spent the Christmas festivities in the UK where he spent time with his family and used the opportunity to check on some Ghanaian players.

He was in the stands to watch Albert Adomah in Middlesbrough’s 3-0 win over Reading on December 29.

Appiah also went over to have a chat with midfielder Michael Essien at his residence in London while keeping an eye on the performance of other Ghanaian players in action during the g=festive season.

The Black Stars coach is however back in the country to discuss some preparatory plans with the Ghana FA before travelling to South Africa for the CHAN tournament where the home-based Ghanaian players will be in action.
