Ghana coach Appiah took decision to axe Kwarasey despite Nasamu's proposal to include him
Kwarasey was named by Nassam but Kwesi Appiah decided to drop him

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah took the decision to drop goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey for next month's matches despite goalkeepers trainer Nasamu Yakubu naming the Norway-based shot-stopper in a short-list of four.

Nasamu says he included the Stromgodgset goalkeeper in his proposed list of four players Â to face Uganda and Togo in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Kumasi and Lome respectively.

But head coach Appiah opted for Chippa United's Fatau Dauda, Aduana Stars' Stephen Adams and Spain-based Razak Braimah with the Stromgodset left out of the final three selected.

Kwarasey looks to have paid the price for questioning the competence of Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer Nassam Yakubu following the World Cup in Brazil.

The 25-year-old said he will not play for the Black Stars until the goalkeepers' trainer was sacked which seems to have forced coach Appiah to leave him out of the team.

Kwarasey lashed out at Nassam in the wake of his axing as the Black Stars first choice shot-stopper at the World Cup but the goalkeeper trainer said he was ready to call him a call-up.

But Appiah stepped in to exclude the Norway-based shot-stopper with Nassam understanding the reason for the exclusion of Kwarasey following the statements he made in Norway after the World Cup.

"I gave out my list, I shortlisted four goalkeepers and he has not been called and so I don't know," Naasamu told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

"Oh yes, he was part of the four shortlisted, because when we were going to the World Cup we shortlisted four goalkeepers and he was picked.

"Fine, the utterances he made if it had been you may be the FA, somebody says if the FA doesn't change me he will not come and the FA hasn't changed so it means he cannot", He added.

Kwarasey lost his starting place at the World Cup to goalkeeper Fatau Dauda which seem to have infuriated him.

Do you think Appiah was right to drop Kwarasey? Do you think after Kwarasey's criticism of the technical team he can still work with them? Make your views known in box below:
