Black Stars have been drawn in a tough group

Ghana's new coach Avram Grant is confident the Black Stars will be able to excel at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea despite being drawn in the Group of Death in the continent's flagship football event.

The former Chelsea coach is anticipating a tough qualification group at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations after the Black Stars were drawn against Senegal, South Africa and Algeria in Group C.

The new Black Stars coach said he is excited to be leading the team to Equatorial Guinea for the competition.

The campaign will begin in January of next year and Grant has full confidence that his team will be up for the challenging group. All the teams in Group C with the exception of Senegal are former winners.

“When we go to the AFCON, as a coach I want us to win games and we will win games and will see what will happen. But we will do our best at the tournament,” Grant told Ghanafa.org in his first official interview.

The tournament will be held in four cities namely Bata, Malabo, Mongomo and Ebibeyin.
